The Wolf Tooth 104 BCD Chainring features a 30-tooth count and a 104 BCD (bolt circle diameter) with a 4-bolt design. It uses Wolf Tooth's patented Drop-Stop tooth pattern, which alternates wide and narrow teeth to improve chain retention and reduce derailments. The wide teeth maximize contact on the drive side to distribute load and extend chainring life, while the narrow teeth provide clearance for mud and debris, reducing friction.
This chainring fits any 104 BCD crankset and is compatible with 1x9, 1x10, 1x11, and 1x12 drivetrains. For 9-speed setups, a 10-speed chain is recommended to ensure better chain retention. It works with all 10-, 11-, and 12-speed chains except 12-speed chains, which require Wolf Tooth's 12-speed specific chainrings. Use of a clutch-style rear derailleur is recommended for optimal performance, especially in muddy conditions, where a chainguide or chainkeeper is also suggested.
The 30T chainring is offset by 2mm, weighs 36 grams, and is made from durable 7075-T6 aluminum. It is manufactured in the USA and is compatible with Quarq power meters. Chainring bolts for this size require a length of 7 to 10mm, with 10mm bolts specifically needed when used with a bashring.
This chainring is offered in a raw silver color and is designed for reliable performance with a range of SRAM and drivetrain setups.
