The Spank HEX Boost R141/148 Hub is designed for mountain biking disciplines including all mountain, trail, enduro, freeride, downhill, gravel, and cross-country. It features the HEX DRIVE 102T technology with 6 independent pawls providing 3.5 degrees of engagement for quick and reliable pickup. The hub body, axle, and freehub are made from CNC-optimized forged alloy for durability and light weight.
This Boost 12x148mm hub has a 32-hole J-hook design with a 6-bolt disc mount and comes in a matte anodized red finish with laser logos. It is available with either an alloy HG or alloy XD freehub body, weighing approximately 318g (HG) or 310g (XD). The alloy bite-block freehubs resist cassette damage without adding significant weight. An advanced seal system helps protect the bearings and drive system from contamination.
While no adapters are included, the hub can be converted to QRx141 using separately sold endcaps. Additional compatible adapters and service kits are available for various axle and freehub configurations. The unique flange design reduces spoke tension differences and dish requirements.
