WOLF TOOTH WOLF TOOTH PERFORMANCE EC HEADSETS - EXTERNAL CUP UPPER EC34/28.6 16MM STACK ULTRAVIOLET PURPLE
Reference Number: 3SA3OF
Wolf Tooth Performance EC Headset - Upper, External Cup EC34/28.6, 16mm Stack, Ultraviolet Purple
This Wolf Tooth Performance headset upper is made in the USA from aircraft-grade 6061 aluminum. It features black oxide coated chromium steel bearings known for high load capacity, durability, and corrosion resistance. The headset includes an ultralight stem cap with an integrated spacer, an aluminum bolt, and a star nut. The top cover measures 5mm, making the total stack height 16mm.
To protect the bearings from water and debris, the headset uses a combination of a water-resistant O-ring seal around the steerer tube and a custom-molded upper lip seal. It is designed for frames with external bearing cups sized EC34 (34mm upper head tube inner diameter) and fits stem clamp diameters of 28.6mm.
The upper assembly weighs 64 grams and is finished in ultraviolet purple. The included star nut is compatible only with forks that have steel or aluminum steerer tubes. For forks with carbon steerer tubes, a compression plug (sold separately) is required-never use a star nut on carbon tubes.
This upper headset is sold separately and pairs with compatible lowers for frames needing external cup headsets. Additional service parts and accessories like the Wolf Tooth crown race installation adapter are available to aid installation and maintenance.
