The Wolf Tooth 48t Chainring features a 110 BCD asymmetric 4-bolt design optimized for 1x cyclocross, road, and gravel drivetrains including Dura Ace 9000, Ultegra 6800, 105 5800, and Tiagra 4700 series. Made from durable 7075-T6 aluminum, this black chainring uses Wolf Tooth's patent-pending Drop-Stop technology, with an alternating wide/narrow tooth pattern to improve chain retention and reduce chain derailment. The asymmetric design offsets the ring inward for an ideal 1x chainline of 47.5mm and mounts in the big ring position of compatible cranks.
Compatibility includes 110 BCD asymmetric 4-bolt cranks from Dura Ace 9000, Ultegra 6800/8000, 105 5800/R7000, Tiagra 4700/4703, RS510, Sora, and Claris series. It works with 9- to 12-speed drivetrains (excluding 12-speed chains, which require specific Wolf Tooth chainrings). The ring is not compatible with Dura-Ace R9200, Ultegra R8100, 105 R7100, or GRX cranks.
The ring requires Wolf Tooth's 6mm chainring bolts, as the stock 2x bolts will not fit single ring mounting. For best chain security, a clutch-style rear derailleur is recommended. In muddy conditions, a chainguide or chainkeeper is advised to prevent chain drops or chainsuck.
Made in the USA, this chainring supports single-ring setups for enhanced performance and durability in cyclocross and gravel riding applications.
