The Wolf Tooth 104 BCD Chainring in Black 38T features the Drop-Stop tooth design, known for its durability and reliable chain retention. Designed to fit any 104 BCD crankset, this chainring uses a patented wide/narrow tooth pattern. The wide teeth maximize contact with the chain for improved wear resistance, while the narrow teeth provide clearance for mud and debris, reducing friction and preventing chain derailment.
This chainring is compatible with 1x9, 1x10, 1x11, and 1x12 drivetrains. For 9-speed setups, a 10-speed chain is recommended to enhance chain retention. It is also compatible with QUARQ power meters.
Bolt length requirements vary by tooth size, with 6mm bolts used for sizes including 38T, except when paired with a bashring. The 38T ring specifically requires 6mm bolts unless used with a bashring, which needs 8mm bolts (not included).
Recommended for use with a clutch-type rear derailleur, this chainring is suitable for e-bike applications. For very muddy conditions, using a chainguide or chainkeeper is advised to prevent drops or chainsuck.
Made in the USA, this chainring is constructed from 7075-T6 aluminum. Other available sizes and related accessories include 64 BCD chainrings, 104 BCD bashrings, and appropriate chainring bolts.
Fits any 104 BCD crankset, making it compatible with most double and triple cranksets.
